Enigma Variations Concert Live at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall | Portland – January 30th, 2027

The Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall isn’t just a pretty face in Portland’s arts scene; it’s a historic gem that’s been captivating audiences since opening its doors on september 12, 1928, originally as the Orpheum Theatre. Designed by Walter P. Portland with its stunning Art Deco details, the hall oozes old-school charm but has been completely revamped over the years, notably in 1982, transforming it into a top-notch venue for everything from classical concerts to holiday-themed performances. Sitting in the Orchestra Balcony gives you this almost secret view, you’re close enough to feel the energy but high enough to take in the whole stage spectacle. The Front Orchestra is where you really get swept up in the vibe because, let’s be honest, nothing beats that shared moment when the crowd’s really feeling it. If you’re coming from downtown, just walk east on Yamhill from Pioneer Courthouse Square, or better yet, enjoy a stroll along the Eastbank Esplanade for some fresh river air before heading in.
